Dear Friends:

For over a year, we have been traveling through Europe, the U.S. and the Middle East documenting the unprecedented global uprisings that began with Tunisia and Egypt's Tahrir Square then exploded in an intense response to the economic crisis with Occupy Wall Street, Spain's Indignados and the Greek rebellion. To date, we have made 12 short films in 5 countries. You can view the entire series at www.globaluprisings.org.

In the coming months we will be on the road again. Working with a global network of activists and filmmakers. We plan to report from Greece, Spain, Portugal, the UK, and the U.S. These reports will also provide the basis for a new feature film on the economic/political crisis and the global uprising against oligarchy and dictatorship.

We need your support to continue this remarkable work. All donations to Deep Dish TV (a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit) for this project are tax deductible.

We have exceptional access to global social movements and our stunning images illustrate this history as it unfolds with people who have worked day and night to transform and reclaim their collective political future, often risking their safety, freedom and even their lives.

These short documentaries tell the stories which are ignored by the mainstream media. They serve as educational tools and have been picked up by news outlets and websites like Democracy Now, Grit TV, Adbusters, The Occupy Wall Street Journal, Stir, and CounterPunch Many of the films have gone viral and are featured on hundreds of blogs in over 100 countries.

A key part of the project is to use screening and presentations to connect information, ideas for action, and people (via Skype) across the many sites of uprising. Within the last year, we've been invited to speak in the Netherlands, the UK, Portugal, Greece, Germany, and the United States.

This is a huge and crucial project. Its continuation depends on your financial support. Global Uprisings is a project of Deep Dish TV, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit grassroots video production and distribution organization in New York City. All donations to Deep Dish TV are tax deductible. Your donations will support necessary archiving equipment and travel expenses.

Thank You For Your Support!
